Repair-Mechanical Plant was one of the main bases of the Ural region for repair of mining and road-building technique.

The plant was renamed to the Repair and Mechanical Plant, it was subordinated to the trust Kizelugol. Principal activities were repairs of mining equipment and manufacturing of mining equipment.

Construction of iron foundry and ironworks was started by Prince S. S. Abamelek-Lazarev in Kizel's dachas. There was started the production of sheet and section iron. Later it was supplied all over Russia, to England and other countries.
