The evacuation installation allows to evacuated a derrick man from the platform outside the intra-rig space in case of fire or open well flowing. Between the derrick and the tensioning device there is a carrying rope on which a safety carabiner is located.
Design features
- Brake – eccentric, normally closed.
- Descent speed limitation – hydrodynamic brake.
- The cabin is lifted from the lower position to the platform using a manual winch.
