Another USIC rig has been put into operation
On July 3 the drilling rig BU USPK 6000/400 ERA Taimyr-R1, factory number 42, designed and manufactured by the specialists of Ural Siberian Industrial Company JSC started at the site of parametric well Kanandinskaya 278 in the eastern part of Evenkiysky district of Krasnoyarsk region.
The drilling rig was made for Rosgeologiya JSC as part of the investment program for equipment modernization. According to Rosgeologiya in 2021-2022 the Kanandinskaya 278 well will be drilled to depth of 3700 m to the Devonian horizon and then it will be deepened to 5400 m. The nominal drilling depth of the USIC production units is 6,000 meters. The well obtained with the equipment manufactured by Ural Siberian Industrial Company will allow geologists to establish prerequisites for oil and gas bearing capacity of ultra-deep horizons.
BU USPK 6000/400 ERA Taimyr-R1 is the newest domestic drilling rig not only in terms of design features, but also in terms of design and environmental safety. It has a digital control system, electric variable frequency drive of alternating current. The block-modular design and 2-track layout of the drilling rig BU USPK 6000/400 ERA Taimyr-R1 ensure compact placement at a well site and, therefore, minimize environmental impact. The unit is specially designed for operation in the Arctic region under conditions of high wind loads, up to 33,5 m/sec and abnormally low temperatures.
The company Vostok Oil (subsidiary of Rosneft), discovered a new field with oil reserves of over 500 million tons at the Zapadno-Irkinskiy subsoil area in the Taimyr Peninsula.
