USIC drilling rig under serial number 40 was put into operation
On June 23 in the north of Krasnoyarsk Territory the drilling rig BU USPK 6000/400 ERA Taimyr-R1, produced by Ural Siberian Industrial Company JSC, was put into operation.
The drilling rig under serial number 40, manufactured for Taimyrbuservis (part of Rosneft) started exploratory drilling in the Dolgano-Nenetsky Autonomous District at the Zapadno-Irkinsky license area.
The generation of drilling rigs BU USPK 6000/400 ERA Taimyr-R1 is the latest development of the company not only in terms of design features, but also in terms of design and environmental safety. It has a digital control system, electric frequency-controlled alternating current drive. Block-modular design and 2-track layout of the drilling rig BU USPK 6000/400 ERA Taimyr-R1 ensure its compact location at a well site and thereby minimize environmental impact. The unit is designed specifically for operation in the Arctic under conditions of high wind loads, up to 33.5 m/sec, and abnormally low temperatures.
In 2020, a new Zapadno-Irkinskoye field was discovered in Taimyr with oil reserves of 511 million tons and 138 billion cubic meters of gas. The field is located 140 km from the village of Dudinka. The discovery and exploration of the Zapadno-Irkinsky field is carried out as part of the Vostok-Oil project, which includes the fields of the Vankor cluster, the Zapadno-Irkinsky block, the Payakh group of fields and the fields of the East Taimyr cluster.
